OU Movement
OU Movement Scenario Handling Procedure
After receiving business or SDM approval and mirror id for OU movement, follow the below steps
- Open Active directory and select the respective domain according to the user’s account.

- Enter the domain id or name of the mirror id, press enter and Open the account.
- Click on ‘Object’ on the top right corner. And check for the current OU in ‘Canonical name of the object’.
- Now have this user tab open or copy and paste the complete OU path in the notepad. Then search for the affected user's domain id and open it and go to ‘objects’ to check whether both the accounts are on the same OU.
- If they are not in the same OU, OU movement has to be done. We can close this window and do a right click on the username of the affected user and click on ‘Move’.
- Now manually move the user to the same OU path as per the mirror id and click on Ok.
- Also check for the expiry date under ‘Accounts’ tab for the affected user, if the expiry date is crossed,we have to extend the date clicking on it for 60 days for management level users and 30days for others. Do not set the expiry state to ‘Never’.
